the food was good. i got the tea leaf salad and noodle salad. i the tea leaf salad came mixed already which was kind of a bummer because i think part of the fun is seeing the colors of the ingredients and then mixing them. the service was kind and attentive. it's a quaint, bright, mom and pop operation. if i'm in the area, i'll stop there again.

Today marks the grand opening of this restaurant under new ownership, formerly known as Cetana Mon. The attentive servers provided complimentary appetizers and drinks, contributing to a positive dining experience. However, the dishes tried were not without their flaws. The coconut noodle soup was flavorful but contained tiny chicken bones, a first for me. The Mohinga was too salty and required lemon to tone down the saltiness. Disappointingly, the Kyay-Oh soup did not meet expectations. Hopefully, the cook will make adjustments to enhance the quality of the dishes going forward.

Excellent Myanmar food. Their noodles ( Nan Gyi ) were my favorite. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Wish they brunch out to where I live. Wouldn't mind traveling to have a good Myanmar meal. Parking is a bit tight, it's a two young beautiful Myanmar ladies owned and managed this restaurant's. Definitely recommended and will be back.

New owners, redecorating, tweaks on the menu are all part of the newly named (Rangoon California) Burmese Restaurant that survived post COVID era diners in Southern California. Both young women owners are tentative, cordial and friendly. The decorations have traditional flair from Burmese culture and flow of feng shui. They made a few adjustments to the dishes and taken out a few from it. The outside decorations (or lack there of) and location might not be the most appealing but this hidden gem in a small strip mall of El Monte is a must try for the adventurous few.
